my resume

This project began as a final project for a photography class at my community college in December, 2001. The goal was to photograph 7 women, each wearing the same outfit. After I photographed the third model, I decided I would try to photograph as many women for this project as I could find.

I began photographing each model in black and white and on slide film for the purpose of further exploring the Polaroid transfer process. Knowing how the Polaroid transfer looks so unique, I knew that this mode of display would be the predominant way I would make images for the project. Though you will see black and whites as well as Polaroid transfers. And now I have begun using digital cameras. It is not about the tool used. It is about the end result.

I now have photographed 106 women for this project. With no end in sight ...
